The survey involves the identification of a homogeneous area, based on physiographic and landscape criteria, which is a representative sample of the vegetation to be studied: a sheet showing the percentages of vegetation coverage for each range of height considered is filled (seven intervals, from 23 cm to 25 m); the floristic list is drawn up for each range; the percentage of covering is determined for each of the identified species.<\/p><p>The data obtained can be used as a synthetic descriptor of the plant community in the area or be further processed (e.g. through <em>cluster <\/em> analysis or other statistical methods).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-4b34980 elementor-section-full_width qode_elementor_container_inner elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default parallax_section_no\" data-id=\"4b34980\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-da0158d\" data-id=\"da0158d\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9132efb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9132efb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Analysis through floristic transects<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-994bd7a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"994bd7a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The relief\u2019s execution consists in going through a linear transect, possibly straight and having a defined length, writing down the floristic population\u2019s composition and the frequency with which each species is detected. Unlike the descriptive methods (like The Braun-Blanquet) this constitutes a <b>statistical sampling<\/b> (where there is a correlation between the frequency of the species found and their coverage). In the presence of an impact gradient, the method is suitable for monitoring vegetation sample strips, allowing to highlight changes in the floristic composition between the proximal and distal band (probably not impacted). The evaluated parameters include species and social position, morphometric characteristics, the crown\u2019s posture as well as all the macroscopic changes affecting the epigean apparatus.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b30f486 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b30f486\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>LBI (lichenic biodiversity index)<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-399aad6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"399aad6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The <strong>Lichenic Biodiversity Index<\/strong> allows to estimate the state of lichen diversity under standard conditions after long exposure to air pollution and\/or other types of environmental stress.
